Where to host an app built with Cursor, Lovable, Bolt or Claude Code, with a database

If you built the app in Lovable or Bolt, the simplest place to host it is usually Lovable or Bolt itself: both publish apps with a Supabase-based backend, and custom domains need a paid plan. Cursor and Claude Code do not host apps, so their code runs wherever your framework runs: on Render, Railway or Codara Cloud with the database beside it, or on Vercel with a hosted database such as Supabase. For a predictable monthly price with the app and Postgres together in the EU, Codara Cloud charges a fixed €5 to €100 a month.

Does the tool you built it with host it?

It depends on the tool. Lovable publishes apps to a lovable.app address and Bolt to a bolt.host address, and both provide a database: Lovable Cloud is built on Supabase’s open-source foundation, and Bolt Cloud’s hosting and databases are powered by Netlify and Supabase. Both sync the code to GitHub, so you can move it later.

Cursor and Claude Code are coding agents. They write the code on your computer or in their cloud agents, but they do not run your app for users. The result is an ordinary repository, often a Next.js, Node or Python app with Postgres, that you deploy to a host of your choice.

What are the hosting options for an app with a database?

Every figure below comes from the product’s own pricing or documentation page, linked under Sources, and was checked on 28 September 2026. Prices are in the currency each publishes, before tax.

Should you stay on Lovable or Bolt?

Stay if the app still changes mostly inside the builder, its backend covers what you need, and you are happy with how usage is billed. Moving means you maintain the deployment yourself and the builder no longer wires the backend for you.

Consider moving when you need a long-running server or background worker, a database you control directly, a specific region, or one bill for several projects. Sync the code to GitHub first, then check which parts of the backend (auth, storage, functions) the app relies on; they have to move or stay on Supabase.

Which options have a predictable monthly price?

A fixed price per piece is predictable as long as you count every piece. Render prices each web service and database at a fixed amount, and meters only bandwidth beyond the plan’s allowance. Supabase Pro has a spend cap that is on by default. Vercel, Railway, Fly.io and Lovable Cloud bill at least part of the usage you consume, which suits apps with little traffic and is harder to forecast.

Codara Cloud charges one fixed plan per organization. The app, its databases and its cron jobs share the plan’s capacity, traffic is included under fair use, and an action past a limit is refused rather than billed. The trade-off is finite capacity, one region (Helsinki) and a beta by invitation.

Can Claude Code or Cursor deploy it for you?

Yes, if the host has a CLI or an MCP server the agent can use. With Codara Cloud, paste the setup prompt from the MCP page into Claude Code, Cursor or Codex: it installs the codaracloud CLI and the local MCP server and signs you in through the browser. The agent can then create the project, the app, a Postgres database and the connection between them, and start the first deploy. Agent tokens are development-only by default.

Questions

Can I host a Lovable app somewhere else?
Yes. Lovable syncs the code to GitHub, so any host that runs its framework can deploy it. Its backend runs on Lovable Cloud or your own Supabase project, so either keep that backend and point the app at it, or move the data too.
Do Cursor or Claude Code include hosting?
No. Both are coding agents. Cursor’s cloud agents run coding tasks, not your app. You deploy the code to a host of your choice, and both can drive a host’s CLI or MCP server to do it.
Is Supabase enough on its own?
For the database, auth and storage, often yes. Supabase provides those plus Edge Functions, server-side TypeScript functions that run at the edge. If your app has its own Node or Python server, that server runs on another host, such as a frontend host or an app platform.
What is the cheapest way to host an app with a database?
For a hobby project, free tiers: Supabase’s Free plan pauses a project after a week without activity, and Render’s free Postgres expires after 30 days. For an always-on app with a fixed bill, Codara Cloud Starter is €5 a month if the app and one shared Postgres database fit its capacity.
